Celebrating A WORK OF ART

Book party, or no book party? That was the question three months ago, mostly because it felt a bit egocentric to throw a party for myself. Then my publicist told me to think of it as throwing a party for my book. That made sense to me, especially after all I put Tera through in A Work of Art. The least I could do is throw her a party, right?

I’m so glad I did! Right now, just hours after the party ended, I’m still overwhelmed by the amount of support I’ve received from family, friends, and the South Florida community. Thank you to everyone who attended and for all the well wishes from those who couldn’t attend. You turned my book launch weekend into something truly special, and for that I’m grateful.

    Mel,
Your book launching party was such a success and I am sure it will be the first of many! You are incredibly talented. Talent alone is not enough though, I realize all the hard work that book reflects on your part and necessary support of Adam and Caleb without which this weekend would never have happened. So Congratulations Maysonets!!!!
I am so happy to still be a part of your life and was touched to see our pic in your blog!
God bless and good luck as you attack your next book,
    Hugs,
    Linda
